Pel\u00edculas de acci\u00f3n real son una serie de cortometrajes c\u00f3micos de Happy Hooligan fueron producidos en la Edison Film Company por el director Edwin S. Porter y protagonizados por J. Stuart Blackton (quien tambi\u00e9n puede haber dirigido algunos), incluyendo Happy Hooligan April-Fooled (1901), Happy Hooligan Surprised (1901), Happy Hooligan Turns Burglar (1902), Hooligan’s Fourth of July (1902), The Twentieth Century Tramp; or, Happy Hooligan and His Airship (1902), Happy Hooligan in a Trap (1903) y Happy Hooligan’s Interrupted Lunch (1903).<\/p>\n

Se cree que la serie Happy Hooligan, producida por Edison Studios entre 1900 y 1903, fue la primera adaptaci\u00f3n cinematogr\u00e1fica de c\u00f3mics estadounidenses. Estos cortos c\u00f3micos de acci\u00f3n real se promocionaron en una serie de carteles de la pel\u00edcula. Cada uno presentaba al desventurado personaje, Happy Hooligan, una figura muy querida en los primeros c\u00f3mics estadounidenses.<\/p>\n

Happy Hooligan es una tira c\u00f3mica estadounidense, la primera tira importante del ya c\u00e9lebre dibujante Frederick Burr Opper. Debut\u00f3 con una tira dominical el 11 de marzo de 1900 en los peri\u00f3dicos William Randolph Hearst, y fue uno de los primeros c\u00f3mics populares de King Features Syndicate. La tira se public\u00f3 durante tres d\u00e9cadas, hasta su cierre el 14 de agosto de 1932.<\/p>\n
